Point Of View
November 9th, 2005
Saw these pictures in YihJeng’s post and felt like want to blog about it, so I took the pictures. There are two comments left in that blog entry, the first is about “heart & luck” and the second is about “hero & never give up”. However, I do not know what underlying meaning YihJeng was trying to tell. But from the 2 comments there, people may see the same situation from different perspectives and draw our own conclusions.

For me, I see it as knowing our ability before working on something. From the pictures, it’s not about luck or doing something impossible. My interpretation from the picture is just as simple as the snail doing something routine in its life. The snail knew its own ability to cross over then did it just like that. The Snail’s body is elastic, hence, it can reach to the other side of the chair without having a problem. Whereas it seems impossible to us as we can’t stretch our body like the snails do.
Very often, we judge some thing based on just our point of view.
In real life, we like to apply ourselves into situations and judge from our own point of view too. I suppose that’s the reason YihJeng came out with “Mission Impossible” as the entry’s title because he/she might think crossing to the other side is impossible if he/she is in that situation, while to the snail is just piece of cake or at least nothing special.
We might have come across situations like our boss or lecturer asked us to do something we felt impossible and yet they told us it’s just an easy job. Sometimes, I am really pissed when people are not considering enough to take our ability into account and judge the tasks based on their ability but not ours. If they are trying to boost our performance by pushing us to exceed our limit then it’s good, but if that task is really impossible to us then they are just being ridiculous.
Only we know our real ability and potential. However, we should always be prepared to go beyond our extreme.
I know quite a number of young bloggers are having SPM exam next week. For these people, I wish you all best of luck. Furthermore, I would try to widthdraw some of your pressure by telling you, “Only you and God know your real ability, no one else does. Do your best and meet your own target.” Chill !! ![]()
I Am Bald Now
November 7th, 2005
After exactly one month I posted the “going bald” entry in my tech news blog, here is the update of the campaign from me. Yeah, finally I got a place to fart freely !
Initially, 6 of us including the organizer Peter Tan, Jason Tee, Sharizal, Devyne, Jason Lioh and I planned to shave our heads on 6th November 2005. However, Sharizal and I went ahead to shave our heads few days before that. In fact, I shaved mine on the 1st November due to my final exam next week.
So, I went to shave my head last Tuesday. Peter kept telling me Indian barber is very skillful in shaving heads. Therefore, I trusted him and simply choose a barbershop instead of a saloon. In fact, it was the second barbershop I went that day because the first one doesn’t shave head, only beard. The barbershop where my head was shaved is just a small room located at the road side near my house. That was the first time I went there, not to cut hair but to shave head (how odd it is.).

Where I gave my precious first time away. To an Indian guy. =P
I’ll not describe the shaving process in detail as I looked like Gollum of The Lord Of The Rings in the process. In the first round of shaving, the barber didn’t shave my head entirely clean using the electric shaver and left some hair on my head just like the picture below. !@#$%^ …

Half-shaven me. Scary leh !
After using the electric shaver, he used the shaving blade which normally people use for shaving beard. This time really clean and looked nice, though my head bled a little.
I felt cold on top of my head after walking out of the barbershop, bet you have not experienced such an weird feeling before. Hahha… So, like that, 30 minutes, RM7 and all my hair gone !
Anyway, here is a photo taken with Peter at Starbucks, eGate, before he headed to KL last Friday.

What do you guys think? Ok or not?
I am bald now, so you guys happy? =P
Yup, My Soul Is Free Now
November 3rd, 2005
Well, since I did not have a personal blog to express my thoughts after almost 6 months I started blogging, so here comes Soul Is Free.
While quite a number of bloggers are going has gone full time blogging to earn a living huge bucks, I foolishly set up this personal blog with no earning potential. I had this decision of blogging for the sake of blogging since around 1 month ago when I started to get closer to a few bloggers who blog about their life, among them are Peter Tan and Reallybites. Thanks.
I have a tech related blog blog, but very seldom you see an article talking about my life, my thought or anything personal. That’s why I hope Soul Is Free will be the place for me to express my feeling.
HmmMm… I think my first post in Soul Is Free serves its purpose though it’s just a short post. Anyway, I’m loving it.
Cheers. ![]()
