Pre Mega Sales
July 22nd, 2006
Well, today is already the first day of the nationwide Mega Sales but I’ve almost spent all my budget in the past 3 days.
Wednesday was the first day of Esprit Sales for Esprit members. One of my friends has the member card, so, as a result he asked me to go along to hunt for new clothes in Gurney Plaza. Well, as an entry-level shopaholic I sure go along.
At the end, got myself a short sleeve shirt with 60% discount (50% + 10% discount for members) and a FREE blue Esprit luggage tag. Anyway, now it’s too late to go for this Sales as it’s already ended yesterday.

After shopping in Esprit, I went to Padini Concept Store and guess what? They were having sales for Padini Card members as well. Fated Coincidentally, my friend has the card too. Considering my convocation is just around the corner, I got myself a black formal slack pants for 50% discount.
Then on Friday, the same friend asked me to go windows shopping again in the afternoon because he was on MC. As expected, I went again. Haha.
This time we went to Island Plaza, where more branded boutiques are located. The discounted prices there were really irresistible, especially in Nike (up to 50%) and Fila boutique (up to 70%). At the end, I bought a pair of Fila shoe for 70%, like the colour and design so much.

Before leaving the building, I went to Metrojaya Supermarket to get the highly recommended Belgium beer - Hoegaarden. Have been waiting for so long to taste it actually. The price is only RM10.99. I was actually drinking it while typing this blog entry. Love the strong after-taste, unlike the tasteless Anchor or Tiger beer, the aroma of Hoegaarden stays in the mouth a lot longer. As a side note, Hoegaarden has 8.5% of alcohol, which is slightly higher than the usual 5% for beer. In other words, you’ll get drunk more easily lah.

So, like this my budget for this Mega Sales is almost depleted even before the Mega Sales commences. How can I survive throughout this Mega Sales, not to mention PC Fair will be held from 4th - 6th August?
EDIT : After finishing the whole bottle, my heart beat is twice faster and feeling a bit dizzy. Guess I’ll have a very good sleep afterwards. Haha. Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
Finally, Finally…
July 19th, 2006
This is the thing that hold me from blogging for almost 2 months! Finally I can put an end to it. I handed up the bind copies of my thesis to Management office on 18th July, 2006. It was really a relief for closing another chapter of my study life. The moment I stepped out from the office, I felt so much lighter mentally as no more assignment deadline to meet, no more mid-term test and final exam to sit for, and no more thesis writing.
The course was in fact not very tough but I did face difficulties to catch up as a fresh graduate from different majors in my previous studies altogether. My Diploma Degree is in Mico-Electronics and Bachelor Degree is in Computing & Information System. I knew from the beginning of this course I will definitely have hard times to pick up knowledge in Management. That’s why I decided to stretch the course to its maximum 2 years by taking less subjects in each semester. My strategy proved to work pretty well as I have not failed any subject and even scored a CGPA of 3.28. In fact, the goal I set at the beginning of this course was only to obtain a CGPA of 3 (grade B in other words). However, I failed in fulfilling another goal which I hope to at least score an A- in every of the 6 semesters. The last second semester was a bit tougher.
Setting goals and meeting them have become part of my life. Sometimes I manage to fulfill them, sometimes I don’t. Failing in meeting one goal will definitely be part and parcel of the process of fulfilling the next one. So far, I am thankful with what I’ve achieved. We just can’t take all the things we are having for granted, can we?
Well, now one of my life objectives has been realized. It’s time to go for the next one. Wish myself all the best. ![]()
用中文
July 11th, 2006
p/s: If you are using Firefox web browser and the font size is too small, what you need to do is to hold the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard, then use your mouse to scroll downward. This is to switch to larger font size. Fonts in Internet Explorer seems ok. Cheers!
Perfect Lover ???
July 8th, 2006
This meme is an old one. Liz tagged me last month but I was very busy with thesis and all (not really lah, just slacking). Promised her to do it, so here it is.
Eight things I want in a perfect lover:
Rules:
- The tagged victim has to come up with 8 different points about his/her perfect lover
- Have to mention the gender of his/her perfect lover
- Tag eight other victims to join this game and leave a comment on their blog.
- Have fun doing it.
1. A girl
Simply because I’m totally straight.
2. No body odor
Reasonable, right?
3. Not dumb
Sorry, I can’t stand people that ask me “why my speaker no sound?” then later find out the speaker cable is not plugged in.
4. No high-pitched voice
I think my tolerance to high-pitched voice is close to zero.
5. Has the initiative to learn new things
The world is changing everyday, once we stop learning, we’ll be left behind.
6. Not arrogant
Rich? Pretty? Intelligent? Capable? Won’t give a damn if she is arrogant and takes things for granted.
7. Sweet voice
I like to listen to voices that can melt my heart. Ivana’s voice can really do that.
omg! She has the voice of angel! I like!
8. The person that I love for no reason
I used to think we need reason(s) to love a person but then I realized that in fact it’s the feeling that leads us to find all the reason(s). So, when I meet the person that I love for no reason then she will be my perfect lover.
Actually I was having a hard time (spent almost an hour) to think of all 8 points as I don’t have any specific thing I want in a lover, let alone perfect lover. To me, a love relationship shouldn’t involve factors like race, religion, financial strength, etc. That’s it.
ErRrR… I think I’ll just tag ahnee because she gave too many lemons to Jason liao. At least let him know what kind of perfect lover she is lookng for also not bad.
I am back, with some stories…
July 3rd, 2006
It’s been more than 1 month I didn’t blog at all. Was quite busy last month. Anyway, after clearing 209 spam comments, I’m officially back here.
Why was I away for so long?
That’s because as a professional procrastinator, I only started to do my final year thesis when I had less than 1 month from the due date. Rushing like crazy to submit chapter by chapter to supervisor for review, then do corrections. Repeated the cycle for don’t know how many times before reaching the submission date. Thank GOD I managed to hand in the final draft on time. Phew~
After submitting, I left only the last step from graduating. But we know, life is full of surprises. Due to the inconsistency in communication from the admin office, no one contacted me to inform that they have changed the date for viva voce out of the blue. Viva voce was set to be in between 3rd to 5th July but they moved it 1 week early now. I even asked the admin staff there about the viva voce time table when I passed up my thesis on 16th June and they told me they will either contact us via phone calls or emails. Besides, the official website still showing the old time table. So, because of that I missed my viva voce when I was suppose to be there. I was in total shock when my supervisor called me 5 minutes before my viva session. It was too late for me to present that day. Fortunately enough, the Dean accepted my explanation and allowed me to replace my viva voce session early in the morning at 8:30am the next day. If not, I would have failed my thesis by now.
That’s not the end of this mess up, I left less than 12 hours to prepare my presentation slides and script after been told my new viva session. As a result, I worked on the slides and script until 7am, slept for 30min, then went for the viva after a brief preparation. Somehow, I still managed to watch a World Cup match from 3:30am til 5am at mamak before viva. Work hard, play harder, right!
As expected in the viva session, kena shot until dunno who is my dad. The first question from my examiner was “Where were you yesterday? We all, the examiners and Dean were here waiting for you!“. To save my day, after weighing the pros and cons of course I didn’t argue with her.
So now I just have to do some corrections and submit the final copy of my thesis by 10th July, I will be graduating from this 2-year course! Besides, I can also enjoy World Cup until the final before starting to plan for the next step.
Ok, this is just a brief highlight of what have I done last month. More will come soon.
Have a nice day, everyone!
