It’s been more than 1 month I didn’t blog at all. Was quite busy last month. Anyway, after clearing 209 spam comments, I’m officially back here.

Why was I away for so long?

That’s because as a professional procrastinator, I only started to do my final year thesis when I had less than 1 month from the due date. Rushing like crazy to submit chapter by chapter to supervisor for review, then do corrections. Repeated the cycle for don’t know how many times before reaching the submission date. Thank GOD I managed to hand in the final draft on time. Phew~

After submitting, I left only the last step from graduating. But we know, life is full of surprises. Due to the inconsistency in communication from the admin office, no one contacted me to inform that they have changed the date for viva voce out of the blue. Viva voce was set to be in between 3rd to 5th July but they moved it 1 week early now. I even asked the admin staff there about the viva voce time table when I passed up my thesis on 16th June and they told me they will either contact us via phone calls or emails. Besides, the official website still showing the old time table. So, because of that I missed my viva voce when I was suppose to be there. I was in total shock when my supervisor called me 5 minutes before my viva session. It was too late for me to present that day. Fortunately enough, the Dean accepted my explanation and allowed me to replace my viva voce session early in the morning at 8:30am the next day. If not, I would have failed my thesis by now.

That’s not the end of this mess up, I left less than 12 hours to prepare my presentation slides and script after been told my new viva session. As a result, I worked on the slides and script until 7am, slept for 30min, then went for the viva after a brief preparation. Somehow, I still managed to watch a World Cup match from 3:30am til 5am at mamak before viva. Work hard, play harder, right! :D

As expected in the viva session, kena shot until dunno who is my dad. The first question from my examiner was “Where were you yesterday? We all, the examiners and Dean were here waiting for you!“. To save my day, after weighing the pros and cons of course I didn’t argue with her.

So now I just have to do some corrections and submit the final copy of my thesis by 10th July, I will be graduating from this 2-year course! Besides, I can also enjoy World Cup until the final before starting to plan for the next step.

Ok, this is just a brief highlight of what have I done last month. More will come soon.

Have a nice day, everyone!
