I’m writing this entry using Wordpress 2.0.1. Yup, just upgraded.

Life is getting screwed up, huh? I saw petrol price gone up and people tulan here tulan there. :p

Today I finally cannot tahan anymore and thought of writing this entry to release the anger in me (for the sake of preventing my body cells keep on dying). Not because of petrol price, not plagiarism too, but people actually think I’m an encyclopedia.

They came and asked some computer related questions out of the blue then expect me to answer them. Bloody hell, am I the free technical support who fucking online almost 24/7 to solve your questions?
Okay, I admit I’m a IT graduate and I have interest in almost anything related to computer. But… but… that doesn’t mean I know everything about computer from PC casing screw to Google searching algorithm, ok! I just did a 1.5 years Bachelor Degree in computing, mind you. I finished my Diploma in Micro-Electronics and this course has nothing much to do with IT either except some programming subjects.

I help friends solving PC/Internet/IT related questions all the time via the Internet, phone call and I even go to my friend’s house to give free technical support a couple of times before. I don’t mind you come asking, but please DON’T expect I know EVERYTHING. If I do, I won’t be here online anymore, ok?

Well, let me show some conversations I got from IM. Some really made me vomit blood. So, enjoy.

The first one is the one triggered me to post this entry, this fella (I use fella for guys and girls, hope you don’t mind.) came just like that. :-

455: I cannot play .ogm file extension, what to do?
Me: I have no idea which app. to open .ogm
Me: where did you get this file?
455: I have divx, but apparently after googling it, .ogm is not an open source…..
455: I down loaded some torrent movie files
Me: I have no idea what’s this file extension
Me: try to rename it and see
455: err… to wat?
Me: to any video file ext. just to try out your luck … hehhe
455: /yish
455: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play.
Me: then I think I can’t help anything also …
455: eh, I tot u expert?
Me: I’m not encyclopedia…

I was really pissed off. I mean WTF, who would’ve known what’s .ogm file if he/she did not come across such file extension, right? Next time, if you expect I know what’s .ass extension and which application to open it, I will suggest you using a screwdriver to open it. Thank you for assuming I am an expert. I’m not, in fact far from it.

Can you please fucking search before asking? *I’m controlling myself not to type more vulgar words.*

Hi everyone,

I’m gonna get married on 29th this month due to some unforeseen circumstances, or in other words accident lah. I didn’t expect this to happen so fast, fast until I left only 5 days to prepare. I will register on 29th, then only decide what to do next. So, please wish me luck.

Well, I’m sharing some IM conversations with friends who really care about me. I placed a title as such “Gonna get married this 29th, accident ! Wish me the best !” on Yahoo Messenger. Very soon after putting that up, I received my friend’s messsge :-

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!

You just can’t imagine how bad my feeling when I knew the shop in this fucking bad news is actually one of my good friends’ family business!! I just chatted with him half an hour ago and he was extremely sad (I wish I know of another word to describe the utmost sadness in his and his father’s heart). He told me the estimated lost has gone up from the reported RM5 million.

I lost a friend on the first day of 2006, now this fucking one. GOD, please tell me what else will happen in 2006!! It’s only January now!!

I hate to have helpless kinda feeling when anyone beside me needs help. I offered him my full moral support as I knew other than that I can’t really do any better to help him at this point of time. Meanwhile, I can’t go and tell him “Don’t be sad, everything will be okay soon.” too because I know one’s heart will be broken into million pieces in such fucked up situation. How can he not be sad? Heck, he is only 24, and he told me he will settle all these shits by himself. But how? Everything just won’t be fine so soon!!

For those thieves, I hope you get what you deserve for the rest of your lives. You just won’t die in peace, you bastards!!!!! I can be very abusive in cursing but I don’t feel this is the right place.

For GOD, please shed some light to my friend and lead him to overcome all these shits, please. I am so helpless. Please don’t bring any bad news to me anymore, can?

Not a good way to start my new year. Sigh…

I can’t believe my new year started with a friend passed away on 1/1/06. Sigh…

A best friend of mine called me this morning and informed me about the bad news. I quickly flipped to the page of the newspaper where the news was reported. In fact, I read the same news before his call but I didn’t realize it was him. I didn’t take a close look at the photo and didn’t read thoroughly about the accident too. I hoped so much the news was not true. He met an accident, banged his bike to a car. I have no idea how it happened, but the accident took my friend’s life away. I was stunned and very sad when I read the bad news.

We were football school team teammates back in secondary school. He used to be the trickery striker playing up front and I was the central midfielder, as usual. We joked, we battled for ball during trainings, we had drinks after matches and we even bet on football results. If I am not mistaken, the last betting I lost was the one I lost RM100 to him in form 3. Ever since then I didn’t bet on football anymore.

I have not met him since SPM, but I heard from a few friends that he married the girl who he has been together with since form 3. What a loyal boyfriend and husband he was. He got a lovely daughter then. Immediately I thought of his wife and daughter after reading the newspaper. I really hope they can walk through this tough period and live a better life ever after. I hope my friend is blessing them from the heaven until they meet again.

I treasure friendship a lot, especially those who really stepped into my life. I will always remember the scenes me and him playing the ball on the pitch. May him rest in peace, my dear friend, Lau Hee Chuan. May GOD bless his wife and daughter everyday.

W00t~ The result of the final exam is already out and I can’t believe I passed my Corporate Finance paper! It was a killer paper to me. It was quite a tough challenge for me to catch up finance knowledge in such a short period while I did not have any finance background at all. To make the situation worst, the lecturer’s expectation was quite high too. Anyway, thank GOD I passed !!

Passing all 3 subjects in previous semester meaning I left only 1 subject and the thesis to be completed. Hopefully, by mid 2006 I’ll be officially ending my 17.5 years of education, at last. I decided to stretch this course to the maximum 2 years because I thought I might need to spend more time than others as I don’t have business knowledge from any of my undergraduate courses taken. This decision proved to be a wise one though I need to take a longer time to finish the course. I would rather to have a better grade than finishing the course fast.

So, in the following semester I need to take only the last paper, Corporate Strategy, while finalizing my thesis topic. Should be a relaxing semester, perhaps.

Let’s hope year 2006 turns out to be a great year. I think I should start planning for it now and hopefully all the wishes will come true.
